Over 120, 000 predicted to visit heart of Spanish textile industry at ITMA 2019

As the world of textiles is growing at full speed, ready to embrace innovative solutions for efficient processing to meet today’s challenges within these industries, ITMA, the quadrennial textile industry event regarded as the largest textile machinery show, is almost upon us.

Featuring a wide array of sustainable technologies and solutions, the 18th edition of ITMA will be held from 20 to 26 June 2019 in Barcelona at Fira De Barcelona, Gran Via, Spain and will carry the theme “Innovating the World of Textiles”

A one-stop international sourcing platform, ITMA is where the industry converges to explore collaborative partnerships, fresh ideas and end-to-end solutions across the entire textile and garment manufacturing value chain, from raw materials to machinery and fabrics.

When ITMA was last held in Barcelona in 2011, visitorship exceeded 100,000 from 138 countries.  90% of the visitors came from outside of Spain, and the international mix of visitors and buyers was well received by exhibitors.

ITMA 2019 is features 220,000 square metres of gross exhibition space. Organisers predicted 120,000 visitors this year and over 1,600 exhibitors (from about 147 countries). Those registered include Adobe, Mimaki, EFI, Epson, EFI Reggiani and Kornit Digital, to name but a few.

Owned by The European Committee of Textile Machinery Manufacturers (CEMATEX), the 2019 show is organised by Brussels-based ITMA Services.
