Mutoh launches new DS4 ProFlex Sublimation Ink

Mutoh has launched DS4 ProFlex, a new dye sublimation ink developed to support high-quality, consistent production printing across a broad range of polyester applications.

The business confirmed that DS4 ProFlex is designed for use with its latest water-based sublimation printers, including the XpertJet 1341WR-P, 1642WR-P, and the forthcoming 1682SR DS Pro scheduled for release in Summer 2025. According to the company, the ink delivers enhanced colour control, reliable performance, and smoother production workflows.

Developed as the successor to the DS3 ink, the DS4 ProFlex formula incorporates new colour ingredients and improved adhesion on transfer paper, with reduced sensitivity to temperature fluctuations. These enhancements are intended to provide stable colour reproduction during extended production runs and when printing with uncoated or lower-cost transfer papers.

The new ink is supplied in clean, degassed 1 kg pouches and is fully compatible with Mutoh’s AccuFine piezo printhead technology. Typical applications include sportswear, fashion, signage, and promotional items.
