2021 Ballarat International Foto Biennale extended

The renowned International Ballarat Foto Biennale was put on hold earlier this year due to COVID lockdowns. It reopened on September 23 with tight restrictions. It has now been announced that the Festival will extend to 2022.

Organisers of the Festival said, ‘It is with great joy that we announce the Ballarat International Foto Biennale will be extended until January 9, 2022. When restrictions permit, the Biennale looks forward to welcoming visitors from metropolitan Melbourne and beyond.’

With more exhibitions and artists than ever before, the 2021 Biennale is not one to be missed. Transforming every corner of Ballarat with photographic art, we invite you to book in for a single-day or three-day Festival Pass and escape into the world of art and culture throughout the city.’

Festival passes will include a ticket to the highly anticipated Linda McCartney: retrospective exhibition, features more than 200 extraordinary photographs, including images of the McCartney family, the 1960s music scene, and a series of prints from the McCartney’s time to Australia between 1975 and 1993.

The Retrospective will be open every day, plus a selection of our indoor Core Program exhibitions, at the Hub 43 Lydiard Street North Ballarat Central.

Ticket holders will need to observe the Victorian Chief Health Officer’s guidance and information. Download the Ballarat International Foto Biennale COVIDSafe Plan here.
