Roland DG, Suzuki and ALTILAN unveil the “Space Jimny” collaboration

Roland DG, collaborating with Suzuki and ATILAN, have wrapped the “Space Jimny,” a one-of-a-kind vehicle with a unique design inspired by the exploration and curiosity of space. Roland DG contributed to the production of the Space Jimny using their TrueVIS AP-640 latex printer, while the accompanying limited-edition stickers were created with their TrueVIS MG-640 UV printer/cutter.

This distinctive car wrap showcases cutting-edge printing technology and embodies the shared vision of the three Hamamatsu-based companies: to inspire creativity and excitement about space exploration.

Roland DG will unveil the Space Jimny at an event, “From Hamamatsu to Space: A Space Journey with the Space Jimny,” on December 8 at the Suzuki Plaza. The event celebrates a shared desire to revitalise the local Hamamatsu community and encourage children to develop an interest in space. Visitors at the event will have the chance to experience a simulated drive of the Space Jimny in space using a driving simulator and take home exclusive stickers designed for the occasion.

Following the event, Space Jimny will embark on a new mission: visiting elementary schools in Hamamatsu in January, where representatives from the three companies will lecture on space and its exciting possibilities.

Taichi Nakamura of Roland DG’s Marketing Unit, Global Sales & Marketing Division, says, “With the purpose of ‘To Empower Creativity and Excitement Worldwide,’ we provide people around the world with the amazement and joy of creation, as well as the wow and excitement that result from it. We are very excited to provide the children who have the potential to play a role in the future of space technology and industry with the opportunity to nurture their dreams by introducing them to the fascination and excitement of space. We will continue to contribute to activities that help revitalise the local community.”
